La Pelle
La Pelle—“the shovel” in French—is both a name and a philosophy. It is the only tool referenced in the winery and the vineyard, a deliberately elemental symbol for a project that seeks to strip Napa Valley winemaking back to fundamentals: site, farming, and restraint. Founded in 2016, La Pelle is a collaboration between Silverado Farming Company and winemaker Maayan Koschitzky, a partnership that blends deep institutional vineyard knowledge with a distinctly modern—but historically informed—view of Napa Valley wine.
